Introductions - Vintage mountain biker from San Jose.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just wanted to say Hey to everyone here. I've been checking this site out for awhile but I just became a member. I collect and ride vintage mountain bikes.I've been riding for twenty years now and have covered over 200,000 miles so far, I think.
I hope I can show off my bikes here as everyone here seems to be cool people who actually like all bikes, especially with all the neat vintage stuff I've seen here. So,hello to you all!

Hello Vintage MTBR, if you've been lurking for a while then you know that there's some great Bay Area folks who post in the C & V forum, and you also probably know that there is a thread in there just for vintage MTBs :D .
Edit: I see you beat me to the punch!
Welcome to BF!

Thank you East Hills. I actually grew up in the East Hills over here so that's kinda funny. I looked for the vintage mountain bikes here but I only noticed the mountain bike forum and the stuff looked pretty new so,C&V I went. Nothing against the new bikes. All bikes are good.

Do you MTB in Santa Teresa Park? I spent many a weekend hiking around there as a kid, but never did any riding (except for horses at Buck Norred's!). A great park...

:) Haven't been to Santa Theresa yet but it's near my work site.I heard good things about it.I currently ride Almaden Quicksilver, sometimes Grant Ranch and Kennedy.
I try to avoid horses.Sometimes I just can't bunnyhop the poo all the time.

I lived just off Blossom Hill in San Jose, and my father would drive up Kennedy at least once a week just to see how beautiful it was (this was a LONG time ago).
The stable is no longer at Santa Teresa--but I imagine there's still poo to avoid. And at least one mountain lion :) .
