Southern California - Father's Day 2007 Pics

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Well my Father's day could not have been better. Gab,Kris and myself went for our first family ride in 6 months. We rode SART down to PCH for a total of 18 miles. The weather was perfect for a ride, unfortunately we had to cut our ride short Performance was having a 25% off everything before noon. Enough said here are a few pics.

:roflmao: OMG! Thank you, John. I just logged on for a second and that is just what I needed! Your pics with Gab are just too cute - especially the one where it looks like you are riding! What a great Father's Day for you. :)

Well, the 5 year old (Logan) is now a riding machine. We did hill repeats on the majestic Dominguez Hill :D and ended up at Chucky Cheese for some well deserved pizza. During the course of the 2 mile ride, we were honked at a minimum of 3 times for having the audacity of using too much road (hello, 5 year old riding here!). I gave up and told him to start riding on the sidewalk. (and these were 25 mph neighborhood roads. Oh well. Lukas (2 year old) was in the "unsafe" infant carrier.

Great pics! They are both so cute. The 5 year old looks like he is having a ball - hill repeats and all! ;)

Palo Alto. (We were in San Jose from 2000-2004). I was up during Memorial Day weekend and did a few quick scout rides. Man, what a difference in that area. Bike lanes and cars actually used to seeing/dealing cyclists...
Been a bike commuter in LA and am looking forward to leaving that behind.

Bryant Blvd is specifically taylored for bicycling. It's pretty cool. There are intersections specifically made for bicycling, and sections where it is only accessible for bikes. And then, there are the hills ... plenty of them.
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers!
