as some of you may know, i'm building up a retro bianchi frame. I'm going to go with ergo shifters, but i have a question. How do i get around the downtube shifter mounts on the frame, if i want to have derailleur cables pass through?

thanks

I am pretty sure you're asking about Cablestops ... I could be completely off track though too, it's been a long day.

These mount to the bracket that holds the downtube shifters and allow for the cable to go through them.

Cable stops should come with your new Ergo Shifters.

if you are going to get cable stops, use one which will fit your downtube..

Some are designed to be used on oval(aero type) tubes as those in carbon and aluminum frames..

Most steel frames have standard round tubes..

If the DT shifters are mounted onto braze-on bosses, you can fit cable stops to the bosses.
If the shifters are clamp-on style, then you can probably find a clamp-on cable stop.
