No. For tubed tires, folding beads and wire beads work the same way. The folding tire is usually lighter and often a slightly better, but more expensive, tire.

Thanks guys. Do you have a recommendation on a good set of trail tires that corner well and have a lower rolling resistance?

You'll need to state what your conditions are for a proper response. What works well in dry single track may not work well on wet rocks. Where do you live? What do you do with your bike? Do you ride when wet (as differentiated from muddy as you'll tear up the trail in the mud)?

Sorry. I live in Indiana. I ride mostly single, dry or slightly wet trails. Most of the trails have a little loose on top and hard pack underneath. Usually lots of rocks and roots. Some hills to climb with downs and flat nothing extreme.
