I own a burley Nomad bike trailer.
does anyone have any good ideas on how to keep people out of it if I have to leave it out of sight in the city. It's small enough to bring into most stores, but I guess i'm thinking just in case.

A bit off topic, but I just ordered a Nomad and was wondering what your experience has been.
For instance, did you get the standard hitch?

The only solution I can think of is to set an open bag of ketchup in the trailer, right near the opening. If someone reaching into your trailer, they'll feel a bunch of glop on their hands and leave it alone.

There's no good way to secure it -- not that I can think of -- you just have to take any valuables with you. I'd tend to leave it in a highly visible spot, as opposed to a hidden one, in the hopes that thieves would be less likely to rummage through it out in the open.

Something like this might be what you're looking for, but I don't know if this one is big enough to go around a Nomad.

Ah, here you go. I did a little more looking on that site and came up with this:

There are two other sizes between these. All of them are on this page.

Wow, what a great lil' product!
Although, this looks like it could be a challenge to keep straight:

That looks like it would stop casual rummaging, but looks pretty weak against a determined crook or someone looking to nab the trailer. Better than nothing to be sure.
