Foo - I need some Foo energy here.

My bike hasn't been sent yet. My nephew took a few days off (poor guy needed a break) but plans on sending it hopefully by this week. I had counted my chickens a little too early and kinda sorta - okay I DID - plan on a ride with a few other foosters on the 30th. The bike will take "five" (more like 21, from experience) days to get to me. *sigh*

I sure hope it makes it to me in time for the ride. Or not damaged. Or even at all. You guys know MY luck with deliveries... :o

I guess I'm getting a little nervous because he said he was going to send it I thought last Tuesday. It would have been here by now. I tried to call him but his cell was off (out of range) and found out by calling the shop he took off for a mini vacation. His buddy there said the bike was there, in the box ready to go........Maybe he meant this Tuesday.....:cry:

A similar thing happened with our Santa Cruzes. We watited for at least 2 months, and when we found out that it would be even longer for our order to arrive (it wouldn't get in time for our Oregon trip) we decided to go with a different color and finish that they happened to have on stock at the time. Oh well, still really awesome bikes!

This may work out well for you, Sui. It's not smart to immediately rush from a mountain to a road bike. Use this coming ride for transitioning. Get your mountain bike, apply some adhesive tape on the downtube, get a black market, and write "MOOTS" on the tape. Go ride. It's a first step. :)

Ha ha you guys are so funny!! I'm the type that would do that with the tape Stan!! When I was mad at my Trans Am for a warranty issue, I put masking tape over the "Trans Am" and put AUDI. The Pontiac guys laughed their heads off!!

Siu, I hear your frustration. I ordered my road bike about 5 weeks before a big charity ride that I signed up for shortly after ordering the bike. I was initially told the bike would take only 3 weeks to come in however about a week later they phoned and told me it would be about 8 weeks. UGHH! But the bike gods were smiling down on me and I got the bike a few days before the ride. Woo Hoo! All it took was some luck and 24 hours of pagan rituals of praying while dancing around a bonfire. Sure you could take the wait-and-see approach ... but no guarantees. Oh yeah, and heres some Canadian energy coming your way. You may notice a slight chill when it arrives :)

Well, poop.:( Who the heck would shoot at your dogs? That is not acceptable. :mad: Even Miss Manners makes an exception to her "no flamethrowers" rule for such things.

As for the shoulder, maybe it's time to start looking for a job that doesn't invovle so much, shall we say, risk of impending doom? You've been getting pretty beat up on the job, and if something really serious were to happen to you, we/I would be very, very :cry: A safer job would be the ticket - something along the lines of a test pilot or Jon's bike mechanic.

In the meantime, here's a big ol' bikingshearer extra-special cyber-hug comin' atcha. Guaranteed to at least not make things worse. :p
