That is all.

So are you saying, Flagstaff 1 : Kevin 0?

I got it done. Just thought I would have a little easier time with it. That first "up" was a butt kicker (to the Flag House). After that it got really nice. We are planning to do that ride ever Tuesday @ 5:30 if you wanna pencil that in. :D

Where the heck is it?

Any parks at the top? :p

My wife is throwing a fit regarding my desire to ride next Saturday. Not really a fit but she wants a family outing since we have not had a day off together in a month or two. I do not blame her. Anyhow, I am pondering something like a quick ride up lookout, meet her at the top, and have a meal at the park with the kid and her. Then I could ride back down. Perhaps flagstaff would be entertaining.

Darn it, tuesday is my only weekday that I have a regular ride scheduled. If you ever do it a different day of the week, let me know.

I looked down on Flagstaff road from the top of the First Flatiron - that is one steep and twisty piece of pavement! :) Maybe I'll go do it tonight, just to see what all the buzz is about.

Baseline Rd. takes you right into it. As far as parks, they have picnic areas and big rocks for the boy to play on, but I didn't see any "parks".

and Vlygrl let me know how ya do. You'll prolly fly up it no problem. :D

It didn't go down last time?
I'm disappointed in you Kevin. :p

Says the dude who is waiting for a rematch with golden canyon. LOL

Not this week. I think Saturday I may show up to the bicycle village ride.

Don't you just love having a life? :p
For the life of me I can not remember what I did with myself before we had a kid. Maybe Saturday will be a family ride instead. Who knows....

You and me both. All I want to do is ride.

Anyhow, I am going to give my son a trail-a-bike for his birthday. Since he can't stand a trailer and rides at 2 mph maybe this will allow us to get out of the neighborhood.

Anyhow, I am going to give my son a trail-a-bike for his birthday.

While everbody is off riding Mt. Evans and Flagstaff and Everest these past couple of weekends, I have been getting in my early morning (5:30) Lookout or Golden Gate rides and then me and the boy on his tag-a-long have been going for 5-8 miles down to the library, creek, farmers market, park, bagel shop, any excuse we can find to go bike somewhere. My wife can't wait for next year when we will get one for our daughter and she can get out of the trailer.

Priceless.

That sounds like fun. I hope my son likes it. While it is great that he absolutely loves his little bike, his father would like to go elsewhere. I can't wait until he can ride with me to and from his day care.
I think the trail-a-bike will be a great hit. Last year with the trailer we rode from our house in thornton to golden and back. What a blast. :)

Jeeze, I just keep missing the boat on this one. I already rode to Ward today, I don't know if my legs have flagstaff left in them.

But if I run out of work and the temperature drops below 100, maybe I'll show.

5:45 where???

I've been attempting to figure out a way to get up to Boulder from the tech center in a reasonable amount of time to ride with y'all. Too dang difficult. The bus from downtown to Boulder is insanely packed and filled with bikes. Maybe after my wife and I purchase a second car (a lovely beater!). However that will be mid to late fall. Bleh!
Working sucks! Must ponder.

No go for me. Stupid DTC is too dang far away from Boulder. How about a Washington Park ride? :p j/k That would bore everyone to death. I will be on vacation in a couple of weeks. Maybe I can join on that Tuesday provided that my mother does not have any plans.

Hats off to Colorider....the man has got some MAD climbing skills! It was a pleasure riding with you.

As far as my ride is concerned. I'm gonna call it a drawn. Turns out watching the Tour De France and then going on a ride is not the smarts thing. I came outta the gate a little hard and suffered for it.
