Texas - Hammocks in West Texas

I'm thinking of stealth camping across sparsely wooded West Texas with a hammock, vice tent. Requires something to hang it between; poles, trees, etc. Is it possible to find two within 10 to 15 feet of each other with some frequency?

I'd say East Texas would work, but i would recommend taking a non-freestanding, 1 person tent vs. something like a Henessey Hamock to West Texas. You may not find as many trees at you would like in West Texas with "frequency". Better to be safe than sorry, and the tent mentioned should be about the same weight / size, or close to it.
crdean , skinny; thanks for your replies. I grew up in West Texas and SE NMex. Out of high school, I skedaddled, nothing but wind and dust back in the 50's. I'm not surprised in your observations, just was hoping for a little change. dohaco
