Road Cycling - what's the low down on these gloves?

the lack of velco intrigues me...
specialized make good gloves. had the previous generation of those, which i liked quite a bit.
the palm split from me wiping down my tires one too many times.
don't have those (they didn't have black in my size when i was buying a pair of gloves 2 weeks ago), but the bg comp are very nice. the one thing i didn't like with the pro was the amount of padding on the heal of the palm.
generally i prefer no velcro - less chance of it damaging the rest of my kit.

Have a pair picked up on clearance. Minimal padding and only in the thumb area. Hard to remove when you are finished. They work but I think are too expanive at retail for what you get. But maybe that could be said true of alot of stuff from Specialized.

I almost got those ... great price, but where I really like the velcro strap is giving you a wider opening to peel the gloves off your wet hands at the end of a ride. I had never tried them, but since I have several other pairs of gloves in my bike bag I never use for one reason or another I stuck to the traditional design Comps at the same $12 price. I was tempted, but without trying them on first ...

edit: on the bg comps the velcro next to the terry thumb part is amazingly soft and non abbrasive. I've never felt velcro this soft.

I've been riding with their BG comp glove, http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCEqProduct.jsp?spid=25569, for a few months now and like them. I have big hands so it is hard to find a glove that fits right and these come in XXL. They are suppose to have a pad for preventing ulnar nerve compression and numb fingers. I have not really noticed any difference though.

i used those before i stopped using gloves, and i liked them a lot, and like Botto i also don't like velcro on my gloves. one thing though, those are discontinued and are being replaced by the ones above them on the website, so if you find a pair that fits i definitely recommend picking them up. i personally don't like the look of the new ones though...
i'm a fan of specialized gloves though, i use the ridge full finger gloves in the winter and i love them, in fact i was thinking of getting a second pair and cutting off the fingers so i could use them as my summer gloves...

Got a pair and I like them...Fit my hand just right...Getting them off is a non-issue for me...I like the fact there is no velcro to deal with on the bike and off the bike...
I'm looking for some full finger gloves.

Specialized gloves are awesome, my only complaint are the ones I have only have padding on the palm. The new ones looks to have some around the thumb and callous area. If my gloves (BG & Deflect) ever wear out maybe I can justify upgrading.

I don't wear gloves above 50 degrees.
