I'm looking for a new set of tubular wheels for the upcoming 'cross season. I have a line on a set of Rolf Sestriere Tubulars for a good price. At first glance, they don't appear to be the best cross racing wheels, given the low spoke count. On the other hand, Rolf wheels have heavier duty rims (for their weight). Also, some are of the opinion that cross rims don't take that much abuse, because the tires take all the abuse. Cross eats hubs and things, because of all the mud. So what do you think? Does anyone have any experience on these?

I'd run them without hesitation. I've run the old Vector Comps without any issues. The Rolf hubs don't have the best seals in them, so be aware of that and ready to replace the bearings. Very cheap to do.
