I like it a lot. I'm surprised at how lightweight it is...and quiet. It turned out way better than I had expected. I'm going to try it out on the trail soon. Should be exciting...just like being a kid again. :)

I got lucky with the chain tension. The 32x16 works out well enough to keep the chain from falling off.
This website has an interesting form a person can fill out. It charts gear ratios and corresponding chainstay length.

I think if there was a perfectly sized thin washer to go between the outside spacer and the lock-nut, it would be ideal as they have very little surface contact...but I don't see how there can be much lateral force, if any at all.
The PVC inside diameter fits perfectly over the Shimano freehub, slides on with no play at all.
I'm becoming more convinced that SS is the way to go. :)

COOL! I too finished converting my old MTB to a new SS last night :) I'll try and post some photos later. Had a quick ride around the neighbourhood, what a blast!!
