Would this be the 786/128 plan?

- only for two years...

:-(

- better to share bandwidth - just hope your neighbor isn't doing naughty things on the 'net...

FWIW, I tried to get Bell South DSL for $24.95 and as soon as I 'signed' the digital online contract there was another charge. I think it was about $3.95, or
something like that.

Point being, I would not necessarily believe it is really going to be as cheap as they claim.

Just sayin............

SBC sucks so badly. People need to say no to crack and to SBC.

TexasGuy,

I would love an alternative to dial-up but can't afford cable, so DSL might be an improvement for me.

Just don't think they are telling the whole truth in their advertising.

:(
You are paying SBC so SBC can sue every single individual, business or government entity that wants to put up any service that could be construed as competing with them.

Ask the people in Ohio and Louisianna about their battle to get fast internet and fast wireless and SBC's plans to sue them because they want to charge 100 a month to have "actual" high-speed internet or offer "low-speed internet" for 15-25 bucks with a one year committment
