Hi everyone!

I am 26 years old, short (5'2") and have 3 kids ages almost 5, 3 and 1. I also have a husband  but I am still trying to get him to ride with us (his available time is limited by work though).

I am getting into riding again (haven't ridden much since I was a teen). I have a Trek 4300 that I bought locally - my first non-walmart bike! I originally wanted to get into shape and exercise my German shepherd dog. I loved it SO much I want to ride it every where. Since I have 3 kids I got a child bike seat (I owned a trailer already). Well my trailer was incompatible with the bike seat so I bought a new one (Trek Gobug). After this I discover the oldest doesn't want to be hauled in the trailer (I was hoping for 1 more year before getting a TAB or something), he insists on sitting in the child seat - rather heavy. So tomorrow I will be going back to my LBS (I hope they like me) to get a TAB for him. Then I have to learn to drive a train :) .

The oldest should be able to ride on his own. Get him to ride in front of you so you can watch how he rides and shout instructions to him. This shouldnt be too hard provided there are enough quiet roads without too many hills. Good luck.

Hello Amy, I agree with AndrewP, the oldest should be able to ride on his own.

Good luck with the training :D .

Welcome to BF!
