Hello Everyone,

I'm a returning to road cycling after a long break. About 8yrs ago I commuted by bike to college (8mi away) while living up in CT, but then I got a car, a job...and so on. I'm trying to get back into things and work up the speed and stamina to do my current 16 mile commute to work most days of the week.

I have a Trek 1100 from the mid 90's that is a 56cm. Recently, I purchased a used 58cm Fuji Finest since I think my Trek may be a tad small on me. Just got clipless pedals and shoes yesterday and will soon start experimenting riding with them.

I hang out in NW Broward County and work in Boca Raton, FL.

Thanks,

Mendel

Hello Mendel, a 16 mile commute! Is that roundtrip or one way?

Check out the Southeast regional forum to say hi to some of your fellow Floridians...

Welcome to BF!

That's each way according to maps.live.com. They have an neat feature that you can draw a path on a map and it tells you how far it is in miles. Very useful for ride planning.

I will definitely check out the Southeast regional forum.

Thank you.
