How many times do you race per week?
How many is too many?

1-2 times per week.

Too much is when you stop enjoying it.

You mean you guys have more than one race per week?

Tuesday night "training race", then maybe one on the weekend.

Sadly, the training races don't count towards USCF points.

I shouldn't complain so much. There's a every-other week Thursday crit that I haven't been to yet in Canada, and a race about half of the weekends in the summer.

If you're into track racing there seems to be a bunch of racing.

I race 3 times a week and thinking of doing another series. I'm wondering if doing to many races would negatively affect performance.

too many races in one week and you over-train and burn out quickly (assuming they aren't 30min crits and the like).
I could race 5 times a week - saturday and sunday for big races, tuesday crit series, wednesday mtb series, thursday TT series. I usually race 2-3 times. Always do the mtb, always do the weekend, sometimes throw in a crit. TT's are the devil.

I'm usually doing 2 races a week. One 60-70 km RR and one 40 min crit or 40 km TT.

If you're enjoying it, do as many as you want, but remember that you'll be missing out on some structured training during the week.

Some amount higher than that. I haven't found it yet.

BTW, would anyone like to do some babysitting? Really, they're not even babies anymore. They practically take care of themselves, I swear!

It depends. Some weeks I've had zero. Last week I had one thursday night TT. I have another tomorrow night, followed by a state in Groveport. The following week I've got a Thursday night track, a Saturday and a sunday national, and then two weeks, and then another state.

If you count the tuesday night training race, then almost every week is two to three races.

Ill race 5 times next week, tuesday night training race, wendnesday night TT series then 3 stage, stage race on the weekend.

Its too many times when you dont A: have rest. B: Can't get in an endurance ride, and or resume regular training through a race week (but thats just my opinion).

My results are subjective, this is my first year racing and I'm trying to race as much as possible, Shooting for 60 races this season.

Too much is when you start getting sloppy in races and crash like an idiot.
