Anyone know if the South path is still open and if so till when?

"The south sidewalk will be closed and the north sidewalk will operate in its place starting on or about Monday, July 9, 2007." Damn...I thought we'd go the full Summer with the South walk open. Grrrrr.

GWB South Path to Repoen on 9/28

Say goodbye to stairs--the George Washington Bridge south path is back.
Port Authority officials report that the George Washing Bridge south walkway/bikeway will reopen on Friday, September 28th. Please check the Port Authority website (http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/bridges/html/gwb.html) for the latest updates.

Just drove across the bridge and the south walkway is indeed open again. Yay - no more stairs for the time being.
