Yes, from the (circa 2004) lineage of (beach) "cruiser flatland," a new phoenix has emerged:

My utmost gratitude to "Europe for the inspiration"; "Montreal for the 'dangling carrot' of acceptance"; and United Cycle, Revolution Cycle, Session Cycles, Flatland Fuel, & Ride-This "for transforming all the above into a home-grown reality."

It's a tough sport, but I try to get in about 2-3 hours riding time a night after work. (10:00pm - 1:00am) I have been training exclusively on a 26" bike for the last 2.4 years and am currently learning hang-five seat grabs, hitch-hiker combos, and turbine steam-roller/fork glide thingys.

I will keep y'all posted on my progress. Thanks to everyone for their support. :)

"Choose your sport and stay passionate & commited to improvement -- *overnight you will emerge enlightened. (*some mornings you may not feel this way)

cheers, cf

Hang fives are damn tricky, *WHEN* I can pop the backend up I usually go 5 feet and then over the bars.

The five feet means that you are now able to throw your weight forwards and you are catching a glide a bit behind the balance point. Try to pull your foot behind you, that will stop you from going over the bars...

PS keep those arms tight.

PPS I go over the bars 1 out of every 5 times I do 'em
