Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - ?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

you have to PAY to use the forum???
that is completely insane.
I use a few bmx and downhill mtb forums, all have many thousands of members.
they thrive largely because of the ability to use them for trading - a free alternative to ebay!
the sites take in a lot of money from having SO MANY hits into their referral/affiliate/partner adverts.
The thing is they all have much much less adverts than here>>>>>>
One has no adverts at all.

Paid members don't get ads. They also don't have to deal with newbies posting an ad and leaving without contributing. Which is EXACTLY why Joe changed the policy in the first place. No free rides.

No, you have to pay to sell something here.
All other forums are open for your usage for free.

It takes a bit of server space and bandwidth to maintain a forum with nearly 80k members. I don't think you have the slightest clue as to the cost of running this site, or the amount of revenue it generate.
But we are the biggest and the best, so to those that have donated their $25
