Ok, so I started the leg shaving thing a couple months ago....but since I wear glasses....I've had a devil of a time being able to do this in the bath or shower without fogging up the specs....Anybody have a solution for this? I suppose I could break down and get my contact lens prescription refilled...but anyway..

You can't see your own legs without wearing glasses?

Maybe cycling isn't for you...

I could be reading this wrong though. Why do you wear glasses in the shower?

*snickers at dauphin's plight*

As a glasses-wearer myself, I wonder if a combination of Cat Crap (defogger) and Rain-X would work.

If you let the water from the shower warm them up, they won't fog for a couple of minutes.

Sit on the edge of your bathtub with your feet inside of it and don't do it during a shower. Geez.

Might I suggest Nair?

Good lord man - you must be boiling yourself if you have a problem with Steam!!! I like hot ones but not like that! :)

I'm going to second the suggestion of just taking off your glasses. Once you get the feel for it shaving is pretty easy and you don't need to be able to see all that well.

(This is probably one of the funniest conversations I've seen in a long time though)

Wax?

So, I know a lot of cyclists do the leg shaving thing and props to y'll but it isn't for me. I just saw Van Wilder the other day when his Dad caught him in the closet in a dress and exclaims, "Sweet Joesph, my son's a fairy" - reading this all I could think of is that's probably what my Dad would say if I came home with shaved legs (especially on a bear like me)!

For starters, take off your glasses in the shower silly.

Put some water in the bathtub & sit either on the edge (as Sui said) or down in the tub. Put shaving cream on your legs. Use the shaving cream as a guide to tell where the razor has been and where it hasn't. If you can't see the difference between the shaving cream and your skin - you have bigger problems my friend.

Sheesh. Must women always be forced to teach you men everything???? :D

I always shave in the shower (my face) I just learned to do it by feel. Haven't cut myself in years.

contact lenses. One of the many benefits i have found since finally switching to them 3 years ago. Cycling caused me to do it, but there are so many awesome advantages even beyond riding. Seeing in the shower is pretty cool, especially if you look as good naked, as I do.

I couldn't see my legs earlier because I was pulling fiberglass wool off of pipes in a tunnel, and the dust was just clouding that thick.

I use shaving cream and a disposable razor, but hey, whatever works for you... :p

Pfft, way to hold on to the past, man.

Melting hair off with harsh chemicals and acids is the only way to fly.

I'm sure that works if you have Attention Deficit Disorder, but I prefer to use a magnifying glass to focus the sun's rays on to each and every hair follicle until it burns the... hey, let's go eat ice cream!!!
