Anyone think Frank's showing that his brother is not yet ready to take the reins from him as best Schleck brother? What a showdown this could turn out to be. Imagine if Frank places on the podium at the TDF. Next year, they'd have Andy going for the Giro win and Frank for the TDF. Has anything like that ever happened before?

It would be really cool if the two of them traded top spots for a number of years like the Williams sisters in Tennis.

I didn't even KNOW there was another Schleck brother until I watched il Grande Giro. Damn, what kind of genes are in this family. I want some! :)

I don't think it's genes with the case of Frank. I read an article about him after he won amstel. He was saying that he was about to turn his back on cycling because no pro team wanted him. He talked some about how hungry he was and how Andy doesn't have it.

giving up 1:21 and loosing the yellow with 3 days left isn't a good way to say it.

It's genes (and environment): their dad John Schleck was a pro cyclist in the 60's and 70's. I believe he rode in the TDF.

He could take a leaf out of Kashechkin's book and claim he wasn't trying to win the race after all, but training for the TDF.
