Just curious what licenses everyone here has. Check all that apply to you. :)

Sir, I have the proper, required paperwork to activate and pilot my own personal automated, high-velocity horseless carriage, and no more! Were I to attempt to pilot an aero-plane, a dirigible, or even a motourized velocipede, my skills would surely and rightly be called into question!

I think C is regular, B is larger, and A is big trucks and the like. [Edit: Or maybe it's the other way around...] M is motorcycle. No idea what D is.

C=Truck</=26000 GVWWait, so anyone who goes to the DMV, takes a 15 question multiple choice quiz and makes a few turns in the parking lot can drive a thirteen ton truck? That's kind of scary.

I have my private pilot ticket, glider ticket, and may legally operate an automobile.

Wasn't there an E though? I thought E was automatic tranny only. And there is another one, that requires some special clip on mirror.

I am pretty sure class A is normal

I am pretty sure class A is normalMust vary by state, then. I just looked at mine, and it says class C. I'm fairly certain I'm not licensed to drive semis.

I don't know what class. Standard operator license plus motorcycle endorsement.

Also, Aircraft, Single Engine Land, Private/Instrument.

I think you're right. I have a class D, but I'm pretty sure it just means I have to wear my glasses when driving.
EDIT: Nevermind, class D is just the regular one here. Restriction A means I have to have glasses.

This is why drivers licenses are useless as id. I have class 5 and 6. That means car and motorbike.
So if I am pulled over in Cali on a bike, what does that tell the officer? That I am licensed for a skidoo?

I have a class C. The lady told me I was a good driver. :)

And you only got a C? Sounds like you're average, or maybe you didn't flirt with her enough. :D

OP: I have the normal one in the US, which I use here for the rare times that I drive, with dubious legitimacy.

Turboem1

Wow I guess it varies more then I though from state to state.

In NY Class D is the regular to drive a car. Then Class C is a bigger truck (under 26000 lbs), then B, then A is like semis.

There is a class E. Thats the same as a D except you can get paid to drive. (Taxis and limos)

I have a chauffeur license, and motorcycle. Never used the chauffeur license, but figured it would be nice to have just in case I ever need it for employment, and heard occasionally a cop will give a break if they think somebody drives for a living (like a warning, or write ticket for reduced speed).

Thats as maybe but you appear to have an aversion to putting gas in the truck :)

I'm a Class 2. That means I can drive a bus that holds more than 24 people (or is is 14? - at any rate, I'm allowed to drive the big 'uns).

But, no air brake endorsement. That pretty much restricts me to old hydraulic-braked school buses (which is exactly what I drove when I worked as a driver for a whitewater rafting company a few years ago).

I have a class 2 with a Q restriction. It's CT's restriction for fire apparatus.
