Have an older (probably 2000 year) V-Rex, narrower frame with the square seat tube mount.
Presently running narrow tires, anybody able to tell me if I can go to 1.75 size tires front and rear (or larger)?
What's largest tires you are using?
Thanks

my wife has 1.25" primo comet racers, with plenty of clearance at the fork for a 1.75". I dunno if the brakes would allow it - my mechanical expertise isn't god enough to know. Her bike is as old as yours...

Mine's a '97, but it's also a 24" rear wheel. I've run 2-inchers in the past. The stays will be wide enough, and V-Brakes are made to handle wide tires on mountain bikes. The only issue would be the clearance to the 'brake bridge.' Measure from the rim to the bridge to see how much clearance you have.
