Here is a video I shot using my "seatpost cam".
These two teams have battled all season and the male/male team always wins by a hair... not this time, the male/female team nipped them at the line.

I ride a road tandem... off road just seems a little WHACKO!

I use a small "triangle" frame bag for the small camcorder and the "helmet cam" is mounted on my seatpost, instead of my helmet.
Sometimes I do both at the same time for results like this: http://media.putfile.com/Mountain-Bike-Races---Dual-helmet-cams GREAT close finish by two racers at the end....
BTW Hermes, we raced against you at the Dunlop TT... which was our first one - very fun!

Yes. Now, I remember your team. You guys did fantastic. That race had a great course and was well organized.
On the video, I was impressed by how smooth the picture is. There is very little shake.

Most movement is caused by lack of "pitch" control - like the front/rear bobbling of your head. If you can keep the camera level to the ground the bumps are not so bad, as long as the camera is mounted solidly.
When I use my helmet cam I concentrate on not letting my head bobble front and back.

Cool! Maybe my dream format of tandem slalom will come to light.

Great video! As far as off-road tandem seeming crazy - that looked like a mellow course, nothing technical. Very fun. I used to ride a Burley Samba on some fun stuff around Boulder, Colorado. My sphincter factor was highest on the technical trails - too scary for me, but on non-technical trails it was a hoot. It's really something to tandem off road... Moab would also be a gas, just not on the Slick Rock trail...
