Road Cycling - Velocity Rims VS Mavic VS Campy

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Does anyone have any experience with velocity rims? Im thinking of building a new front road wheel and am trying to decide on a rim. I was debating between a Velocity Aero or a Mavic Open Pro. Plus what type of spokes should I look for? I was thinknig either the DT Revolutions or Champions. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Byron
I have a pair of wheels built on Velocity Fusion rims for my road bike, and a velomax wheelset which uses the Velocity Deep V rim on my mtn bike. Both have been excellent wheelsets. The Road wheelset is built using the Velocity Fusion rim, White Industry hubs and Sapim CX Ray aero spokes. It have not had to true it in over a year now.
Kev thanks for the quick response, how are those sapim spokes? Are they expensive? I dont mind paying the extra if their worth it.
The Sapim CX ray spokes are expensive, only place I've seen them for sale is TotalCycling. Here is the blurb from sapim on them " Sapim's finest quality spokes. In tests the CX-ray withstood a 0-90kg-0 load cycle for over 3,500,000 cycles without breaking. The spokes are also Sapim's lightest, aerodynamically shaped and can be used in any hub without hub modification keeping manufacturers warranty intact. Supplied in bags of 20 with alloy polyax nipples." Biketoolsetc carries there standard spokes, but did not see the cx-rays on their web site.
I have a wheelset with Velocity Aerohead rims. I really like them. The V is not too deep and I have barely had to true them. Mavic Open Pro is a good buy also, but I don't think you can go wrong with the Velocity.
