Introductions - Hi from Brooklyn Commuter - Question on Sealed hub adjustment

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I ride 8 miles 1-2x per week from Brooklyn to my job in Manhattan, near Union Square. I have a question regarding sealed (shielded) Shimano hubs on my 5 month old Kona Dew Deluxe. The hubs are adjusted very tight. In the old days (pre-dust seals) I would take a cone wrench and loosen the bearing adjustment, but I don't know how to do that now because the dust seal gets in the way and I can't access the cone with a wrench. Anyone know how to do this? I don't want to screw up the rubber seal.

Try posting this question in the Mechanics forum. You'll probably have more success there.
