Ride a Leader Bike???

Turns out my frankenbike I built is too big for me... :( Went for a fitting today and the way they measured the frame it is more like a 60cm and I need to ride a 56cm....

So now after tossing all that money away, I am looking at a Leader 730R as a fairly inexpensive replacement for my huge frame...

Does anyone locally have experience with this frame/bike???

Thanks

I have the 796R carbon frame. I love it.

I was already riding an Alu frame (my clownish Litespeed Orion) prior, so if I was going to upgrade, I wanted carbon, which is why I chose what I chose. Leader's Alu frames are some of the bestest deals going. Plus, their distribution shop is in National City (S. San Diego), so theoretically, you could drive down and pick your exact frame and get sized correctly on it.

Well I think Leaders 56cm is what I need... then I can fine tune it when I start the grand part swap.... I got a Yellow Selle Italia saddle to go with my yellow frame.. Wonder how a Yellow seat will look on a black frame and fork!!

You might think about that 730 frame, with it's aero downtube and seat tube. If that's your style, then rock on, but I prefer a more traditional looking frame...like the 717R ($139).

Is that the new CF one? If so, then my buddy just got one, but only has a few rides on it.

well the 730 looks like my current frame so I like what I have so it wont be much of a change...

sick setup!!!!

Neccros, there is a group buy in on some Pedal Force CF frames for $480 now + 80 for the fork. Suppose to be some good stiff frames.

Too late.... already ordered the Leader frame and fork.... $358 at my door..... I need to ride more and get into better shape before I worry about any other higher end frame.... I think the Leader is a good one for me

I've got my daughter on a Leader 716R because she was growing too darn fast. They're OK, the company is Chula Vista based, but doesn't sell in CA, you have to buy off ebay. Her bike actually turned out pretty nice, 18lbs with 28 spoke open pros and a mix of 105/ultegra components, all swap meet parts including the 165 square taper 105 crankset. She enjoys riding it, but wants my Bacchetta.

I bought mine at the SD Velodrome Swap Meet. They have a booth every Spring and Fall.

I bought mine about a year or so ago. Looks like he's setup a storefront since then. I've been happy with it.
