I'm thinking about getting a recumbent. However, i can't find one that fits me. I'm 6'5'' and 200 lbs. I have my Giant Cypress ST which keeps me happy, but I would like the comfort of a recumbent. any suggestions on where I could find a recumbent that doesn't make me eat my knees?
You wouldn't like my Rans Tailwind - I bought it from a guy whose legs are a bit longer than mine; too short for him but OK for me. The Rans site shows an XXL version of the Stratus XP which they say will fit up to a 49.7 X-seam. My X-seam is 45 (I'm 6'1").

How about a pedalcoupe? It's a quad, but weight limit is 500# and I know it fits a 5' to at least a 6'2" foot person. I'm 5'8". Email them and find out if it will fit you. The boom is quite adjustable.

I have an actionbent jetstream II and it fits pretty well. I'm 6'5 as well. Remember you can always get an extension built onto the boom(if an extender boom, bike)
Good luck. I've never regretted getting 'bent!

I am 6'5" and 235 lbs with a 49.5" X-seam. I ride a 2005 RANS V-Rex (2,000 miles) and a new 2007 RANS Stratus XP (250 miles).
Get your X-seam accurately measured so that you know what makes and models will fit you. That way, you don't waste time looking at bikes that are not even an comfortable option!
Even if a bike claims to have an X-seam that fits, you might still run into trouble. I found this to be the case withthe RANS Formula 26 and Velocity Squared models (long wheelbases with higher bottom brackets). These models claim to accomodate riders up to a 50" X-seam. However, I had to put the seat all of the way to the back. When I attempted to lean/angle the seat back, the handlebars were out of reach.
There are also individual makers such as Denny LaDue ( http://www.radiks.net/~ladue/ ) in Lincoln, Nebraska. I was very attracted to his bikes because of the low seat position in front of the back wheel. However, I did not have the self-discipline to wait a couple of months for him to build a bike (especially during the summer riding season). He is very busy, but will build to your specifications (size and components) if you have the time to wait for delivery.
Anyway, this is probably more information than you wanted. However, I do not want you to waste as much time as I did checking out bikes that did not fit. The Stratus XP (XXL version) is the only long-wheelbase production bike to fit me.

Just the forum I was looking for! I got a rans V Rex XL frame and my Xseam is about 50" I am 6'7" this is one of the few bents that fit me and would probably be the one of the cheapest to accomodate taller riders. works great. twitchy handling at first.
Take a look at Lightfoot. Their Ranger has a weight capacity of 350 lbs. Nice bike.
