Mountain Biking - A few pics of singletrack in my area

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Spokane's southwest side overlooks a little valley where State Highway 195 runs. The side of the valley is what we call "The Bluff" and is city park land. It's wooded with Ponderosa pine trees and some plants that like our semi-desert Eastern Washington climate. I'm very blessed to live within a two-minute ride of the rim :)

Nice pics Mech - I've ridden those trails several times, but Beacon is still my first love for the local stuff.

Awesome pics - I bet that trail's a blast to ride! There's one local trail very similar to that near me and it's so fast and so much fun to ride. Peace.

In Ojai,CA there are better trails. More hills, and better scenery. Those trails look like Kettle Moraine in WI.

Which isnt a bad thing, just in Ojai, there are more a- and decents.

Great pics that remind me I need to head east over the pass for more riding that's a bit drier. Then again, it's been awefully dry on this side of the Cascades recently.

I need to get a ride in after work. :(

The trails we have in the city are a hard pack clay base. So when they are dry they are like riding on concrete. Kinda appropriate I guess for trails located in the heart of the city. When it rains though, hello ice rink! Those trails look nice and manicured. Very pretty.

stiffiee_shane, I hate that slimy mud too :D And if it dries onto the bike... aack! :crash:

Glad you guys liked those. :) I wanted to shoot some more, but my camera's batteries hit "Empty" just as the sun was sinking through the smoky air and turning a fascinating orange-red color (there must be some fires creating smoke to the west of us somewhere).

It would be cool to see photos of everyone else's favorite riding areas/trails, provided that doesn't cause a hardship for Joe's server or something. :)

I should have a camera before the 14th of this month. I am trying to buy one before the gravity festival hits. Should have some good photos of my trails shortly I hope.

Sweet Maelstrom, BC's trails ought to be hard to top! :D
