How so fragile it can be. The past couple of days have been pure hell. I just do not know how I am getting by without just breaking down. Found out that my one cousin younger by one year, who is married and has a 3 year old son and a 5 year old daughter is in the hospital and in critical condition for severe pain, the doctors have yet to figure out what exactly is causing the pain. Things are on the downside right now, all I can think of at this moment are those two kids.
I have been getting by for the past two days by just riding hard and it has worked to a point.

Life
Goes on. Not to be insensitive, but it does, for you, for your cousin (God willing), and for her kids. The important thing is that the people around your cousin remain strong when she needs them to be. At least your coping mechanism is riding, which only makes you stronger and doesn't negatively affect the situation like so many other outlets would.
My hopes and prayers are with you smashy.
I'm sorry dude, I know you just went through your dad getting his knee fixed right, or was it his shoulder?
Try to take your mind off it, but at the same time try to be there for her. :)

Wish I had some sagelike advice for you, man-but all I can say is-appreciate what you have. Ride that bike like tomorrow is no guarantee because that is a fact.
And best wishes to your cousin. I have two of my own and I can't imagine not knowing if I'll be here or them or not.
Positive vibes your way brother...

Keep us informed, Mr. Smashy. It's always hard to see a loved one in distress, and to watch the effects of that on others around him or her. My heartfelt empathy. :o ((HUGS))

So sorry to hear the bad news Smashy. But a wise grandmother once told me "This too shall pass" I hope and pray that this also passes for you and your cousin. Be strong.

He is in the best place he can be right now. Under the best care he can have, I'm sure.
I have an idea! :D Take the kids out and spoil them. That will make you feel better, let his wife have a little break from the stress and kids wont have to think about sad things for a while.
Hang in there, Kona. I know you've had it rough lately. But if you listen........shhhhhhhh! Can you hear me?? ;)
((hugs)). I'm here for you, okay?

Ok, cousin is being released from the hospital on Thursday. What caused it in the long run was a very severe reaction to the blood pressure medicine he was on.

Glad to hear it. Did they ask about any new meds he was on when he was admitted?

Yes, he had a couple of new meds, the tests came back and it pointed to the blood pressure medication. They are holding him yet just in case.

No doubt - I have "white coat syndrome" (my blood pressure goes up when I go to the doc) and they put me on BP medication before they figured it out. I had to stop within a week even though I was taking a small amount. It totally messed me up.
Life sometimes throws us a curve but its what we do with that curve that matters the most. Wishing you the best Smashy!!! :)
We foosters are here for ya!!! :) Glad to hear that they found the problem too! :)
