This post is for the vintage buffs that might be using a sturmey/Archer 3 speed.The 3speed shifters used a gear cable with a tube end that slid into the 3speed triger.Universal gear wire with the two different ends(Summit)is avalible--I snipped off the largest of the ends and filed(using a dremel tool)the small end to fit the triger.I used a universal quick release swival to attach the cable to the hub pull chain.I greased the cable and used new housing---simple installment---sam
