After barely riding a mountain bike (target special Magna) some 4 years ago, and picking it back up only this past year as a commuter, I decided I needed something better.

About a month and a half ago, I rewarded myself with a KHS Flite 300 54cm road bike. I have been riding almost every day of clear weather in and around Minneapolis and am loving it!!! (btw, I was never particularly physically active before this, but am picking this up quite well)

I'm already pushing 30 mile rides, and could barely do 5-10 miles only recently.

Road biking is definitely for me.

Outside of cycling, I'm a sophmore Aerospace Engineering major at the University of Minnesota and hope to build rockets that will lower the cost of access to space, such as to make human colonization of space a reality.

Welcome to the forums! I love the idea of making space colonisation a reality. I'm already looking for a planet where it rains perpetually. :D

WELCOME, K6. I hope while you are designing to make exploration cheaper, you make it safer as well.

Safer comes intrinsically with simpler designs. (which also save money)

Specifically, the moon is the target that makes most sense for initial colonization.
