BMX - How much can the WTP Metric take?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
If I get the WTP Metric, am I going to be able to ride it for some stuff other than flatland specific tricks? By that I mean bunny-hopping (although with the different frame, bunny-hopping might be fairly hard), footjam tailwhips, 180s, rock walks (I'm not saying I can do all of these tricks, but just wondering about them), etc. I'm not really talking about grinds or anything really hard on the bike (I've got my Hoffman for that), but is the Metric going to be able to take the extra abuse without going to pieces? And I think I read somewhere that the Metric is over-all stronger than the DK Signal, which makes me not want to get the Signal for fear of it going bad when I do a few tricks other than pure flatland stuff.
So basically, how far away from flatland can a flatland complete go?
i think it would be able to hold up to mostly everything except for grinding and maybehuge air outs
OK that's cool. Just wanted to know. ;)
And off-topic, but I was watching some street BMX videos on youtube, and then I was like, "You know, I think it's time for me to go outside and work on doing 180s. So I get on my bike, and first try I mess up (of course) and my left foot comes off the pedal and my shin did a grind on the metal studs on the pedal. It kinda hurt and left three long gashes on my shin. So that was all the 180s I tried today.

Word... especially on 180s. You have to be more confident and stay on your bike.
I'm not exactly sure how my foot came off. It was mid-swing though, normally I complete the spin and then I take my feet off before I can spin back around forwards again.
I'll try some more 180s tomorrow, if the weather is nice. Normally here in CA it gets too hot to ride for more than like five minutes without overheating.
lol..i would ride like more in the morn or at nightish then.

try learning fly out 180s if possible. its much easier having a ramp to give you enough kick up and airtime to make the spin.
