Bicycle Mechanics - Re-using hubs

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Is there an issue with this? I find it hard to believe that a hubset, once laced to rims, can't be used again.
I have a set of Shimano 105 hubs laced to some CXP-22 rims. I want to use them to build a wheelset for my dad using a set of Mavic A319 rims so I can use bigger tires.
Part of the reason for recycling as many parts as I can for this build is because this is a pooled money project from the siblings. The other reason is just because I can't bear seeing parts go unused, and I don't see myself using this particular hub again since I'm going to replace it with a Nexus internal hub.
I know they're not the most expensive hubs...but is there an issue with re-using them?
It's recommended that you relace them in the same pattern as they were laced the first time. Just look at the stretch marks and copy.

Yup, what he said.
The reason you want to re-lace in the same pattern is that the spokes create grooved depressions where they leave the hub flange, and these can act as stress risers if spokes are pulling from the flange at a different angle.

There's no other hubset as good for any price, aside from Phil Wood, Dura-Ace, XTR, Ultegra and XT.
