We took the boat out this afternoon. It was about 3/4 clear sky when we went out. Then one smallish but dark grey cloud came along. It absolutely poured. Remember the thread a few days ago about what you call really heavy rain. This downpour fit all terms. By the time we docked we didn't have a dry spot on us anywhere.

Now for the craziness question. The first thing my wife did when we got home was jump in the shower and she couldn't understand why I didn't. I was just soaked. Why do I need to get soaked again? She thinks I'm nuts, I think she's nuts.

You feel all gross when you get wet from rain. You get wet, not clean, because you are still wearing your dirty clothes. You're not crazy; you just have low standards for personal hygiene. :p

Have to agree here, when cold and wet a hot shower is wonderful way to freshen up.

After riding in the rain, yeah. Road grit and such. But on the boat we're in tank tops and shorts and it nice clean rain. And it was 85 degrees so it wasn't cold.

So was it a turd floater or a gully washer?

BTW, if I am soaked and have to dry off and change clothes anyway, I most likely will shower as well.

And I agree, if it was just you, the wife and a hot shower and you did not join her, you are crazy for not just jumping in and she is cruel for not inviting you in.
