I raced the NC state games today, course was nice, a little hill after the front stretch, some off camber corners on the back stretch and a fast downhill sprint.
We were supposed to race for 40 minutes but ended up with something more like 35 ish, a couple of breaks went on the climb and everyone just wanted to soft pedal on the back.
A break went with someone who didnt look dangerous then the guy who got 3rd in my race yesterday tried to bridge. I let it go to see if anyone else wanted to bring it back, no one did. So I brought it back giving the orginal guy a nice little pat on the back and I passed him.
A few other things tried to go but never went anywhere, I was feel pretty good at this point.
Sign comes up for 4 to go, I decided that on 2 to go I make a little move I try but it only ends up in stringing out the pack So I sit back in.
On the bell lap on the back stretch a guy goes and really starts to hammer, were maybe a k out. I know no one else is going to bring it back. So I turn up the gas without going too hard, he starts to come back. @ 400m a guy come around me and brings it back fully. I'm now sitting 3rd wheel @ 300m, I see the speed limit sign I had decided on earlier and where to start my sprint and I go, stand up shortly, my legs hurt, sit back down and hammer, I see a guy starting to move up on my left so i stand back up and keep him back. I ended up winning
It didnt come down to a throw but it was close. Thats two in a row for this weekend and 14 points.
