What do you do when you remove your old bar tape and the Aluminum bar is corroded from sweat? Go immediately and by Carbon bars, Lightly sand the bars and spray paint them, Or just cry?

Crying causes corrosion too.

Why would you want to paint the bars?

My thinking is that painting the bars before I put bar tape on would maybe provide some corrosion protection in the future. I think that if I can find some zinc oxide based paint that it will work with the aluminum but I don't have any experience with this type paint and I don't know if the hardware store will have this type paint.

Go immediately and by Carbon bars ... and spray paint them
CF bars don't corrode.
