Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I started off with a General Lee, then a pink Integra Bel Air. I had the cranks for a cyclocross build, but when I saw this frame for sale at Danscomp, I had to buy it. The geometry was what I was looking for. I don't know if it's the 29t front or the silent coasting, but this bike is feels so quick and flickable. It's very solid and light. I've wanted a rawed bmx since '99, but didn't have any money to spend on bikes til now. I have the best commute with this bike!

That thing is hot. But do you actually BMX or just commute?
Cool man, I too started out on a general lee, i upgraded it so much i was actually able to build the general lee back up again, haha.

My current race bike, this is an older pic will have a new one up tonite
I commute, but hit up street stuff as I meander my way to work. I've been riding bmx bikes exclusively for about a year now. I ride anything from a fixed gear track bike, fixed 29er, xtracycle-equipped limo with a trailer for my kid, to any of my bmx's. I'm an older guy (35) getting back into bmx. At the moment I'm just doing small stairs and gaps. I work on call, so it doesn't help when I'm all busted up from learning tricks. The way life is though, you can only afford what you really want when your body's too old to what you thought it could.

Duuuuuuuude! Your bike is soooooooo nice! Two things I don't like: 48H wheel in the front, and the animal sprocket. Besides that, it's SO dialed and beautiful. Nice work!

So dope! That red on black is perfect. It's inspirational to say the least. I mean, I was kicking around the idea of building a 20'' and now I'm going to seriously contemplate maybe doing it.

Big fan. My flatland bike shouts hypocrite though. 36's with 3/8's in front and 36's with 14 mills in the back. But my park rider is 48's and 14 mills front to back.

To really set it off, go #2, swap the striped seat for a solid white one and a purple cable over the blue one. THAT would be nice.

I could do that. I painted the seat myself, so sanding it down real quick and painting it solid white wouldn't be a big deal, but I noticed the white plastic gets dirty really fast. Oh well, nothing more paint can't fix. And I got that Ody linear cable for freeeeee. I had a white regular Animal cable.
I have been ill for the last couple of months so I am just getting around to my builds. 85 MONGOOSE CALI CUSTOM- S&M CHALLENGER & 97 dyno flat bike. the first 2 are done and will have pics up soon

I ride in bmx demo shows and wanted a bmx ride that would stand out . It also has a little bit of an old school look, bikes from the 80's were set up with loud colors.

Pretty nice, kinda old schoolish compared to today's standards too. A 5+ pound frame, Midways, a freewheel, big sprocket, and one of those seat post things. Don't see them too often.

hehe. compared to the bike i built before it (pictured below) the killing machine is the bike of the future! i did the midways because they were cheap and i am fat, the cheap homers necessitated the freewheel and bigish sprocket.
