Pretty scary, just goes to show how susceptable we are.

Dude, that's just f***ed up! He didnt leave any skid marks!! In other words, he hit one cyclist and then another and then another and so on and never tried to stop or slow down. I don't care if he is a disabled veteran, he should never be allowed to drive a car again. I can't even think of a proper punishment...maybe let him get hit with a two ton death missile...arghhh!!!

If you read the article "between the lines", they're implying that he had a diabetic induced black-out. If nothing else, take the guy's license away. PLEASE!!!!!

The report made no comment as to what the guy's excuse is, merely that he "feels awful". Not as awful as the 13 cyclist he hit and especially the two still in critical condition.

Charges still pending?????????

Just found this article in the St. Pete Times.

Much better reporting. The picture makes me shudder!!!

BTW, 3 still critical, not 2.

OMG, horrible. I always dread something like this happening, I guess everyone does. IT was a big group so he can't say, he didn't see them. Thankfully, no one was killed.

after my incident yesterday and reading this, yikes! he better lose his license regardless if it was medical or not. and it if was medical, he should be evaluated why he still has his license. i just read an article in the la times about some guy in california who has ober 3 dui's and has been in 3 accidents under the influence. (not sure on all the specific details and recalling it from memory) but he still hasn't lost his license and may finally lose it since he killed someone in his last accident.

The more I think about it, the more this pisses me off. This guy has absolutely no business behind the wheel of a car. "I must have hit something"...WTF!?!?! If you hit something, you stop. dips**t!! I don't care if he had medical problems (everybody has an excuse, don't they?), he deserves to have his license revoked and he deserves to be thrown in jail!

This is what really turns my crank on the incident: "Pastore told police he tried to pass another car, even though he was traveling in a no-pass zone."

John E

As I posted in another thread, Pastore's driving privilege should be revoked.
