I'm currently on an airplane... they're still boarding. Isn't Wi-Fi a wonderful thing? However, as I was checking in for this flight to DTW for my business trip to Ann Arbor, MI where I'll be for the whole week... without OLN or any live coverage of the TdF, a coupl walked up in line behind me carrying two bike hardcases. I looked at them enviously and said, "I bet you're heading to France aren't you?" They nodded and we struck up a conversation. They're going with a tour group to follow the TdF and will hit two of the mountain stages including L'Alpes D'Huez. I told them I was envious and explained my plight. I asked them if they could remove the padding from inside their bike cases so I could stuff myself in. I figured I'd be able to provide enough crush-protection. :D To make matters worse, I think the flight I'm taking to DTW is the one that continues on towards Paris. Maybe I could stow-away in the lavatory. ;)
