Hi folks,

I'm planning a light weight cc tour for the San Juans in a couple weeks, & was wondering if it was worth stopping on Shaw or if it'd be better to spend an extra day on San Juan?
If Shaw is worth it, a route would be great - I have some decent ideas for lopez, & San juan, but not for shaw.
Heck if you know a decent BnB or two that's not an arm, & a leg on San Juan, or Lopez that would be nifty too. I've been scrounging 'em out of an old tour book & off the web & suspect there are some I ain't getting.
I'll probably drop a similar query in the touring forum as well just to cover my bases but figgered the more local forum might get some folks that one misses

Shaw really doesn't have much to offer. It is a nice ride but other than the ferry terminal/store there are no commercial amenities. Shaw does have 11 campsites about two miles from the ferry terminal but they fill up quickly so if you are interested in staying there I would check for availability. Personally I would skip Shaw and spend more time on San Juan or Lopez (my favorite).
