I tend ot give out more info than people want to read so, you're warned! I split my time between suburban Detroit, MI and Tel Aviv, Israel. My first bike was red with three wheels, that lasted like a week before I HAD TO HAVE a two wheeler. Ever since that first Evans two wheeler, I have been riding. For many years I was in love with my Peugeot D-9 and put one hellof a lot on miles on that thing. My next bike was a beautiful, I thought it was beautiful, Mercier which I rode and rode and rode....from there I went to a Kona, LOVED THE KONA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then a Bianchi, didn't care for it too much....and three years, severely damaged my knees which kept me from biking until this year. Now I am back biking, no more than 15 miles at a shot due to the knees and am riding another Kona which I am having a great time on. Last night, I picked up a Mikado Lancer in a neighbor's trash....cleaned and put air into it and the guy is perfect. My big rides have been Rome to Amsterdam, did it once, Amsterdam to Brugges, did that once and five times I've ridden from the Israel/Lebanon border south to the Israel/Egypt border. These days, it is strictly communting for work, using the bike in lieu of the car and the easy recreational rides. This is a great forum and am enjoying going through the posts. Thanks for the all the info and pics. Also, trying to organize a Gay bike group in the metro Detroit area.
