I'm definitely not the most avid biker, but it's been great exercise for me outside of my gym routine. As I begin to ride more often, i notice that I'm ruining my normal pair of Adidas sneakers with the dirt, chain, etc. So it's time to replace those shoes, and I've decided that I'll get two pairs. One for the gym and one for biking.
This weekend while I was at Dick's Sporting Goods, I noticed that they had this pair of Quest "cycling" shoes. I don't ride a k-mart bike, but this gear seemed to be sufficient. Unfortunately, they did not have my size . I know, I would never consider the Quest brand, but these shoes were not bad. I do not use clipless pedals and they have your normal flat bottoms. They did not have any other shoe close to this.
It almost seemed like it could be a light hiking shoe. I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions on the type of shoe that you wear while biking - especially those who do not use clipless.
Thanks!
p.s. Does anyone know who actually makes the cheap-o quest branded bikes and gear? I tried to hunt it down online, but could not find a thing.
