In the exact order too...
The Good- After close to a month off getting fat and assassinating large fish, I returned to the warm embrace of the team. 45+ open race we ate up several of the primes, set up the train, and dropped our sprinter off at Victory's doorstep. It's pretty sweet watching your guy cross the line with arms up.
The Bad- Followed it up with the 35 1/2/3. Hung around with the fast crowd but couldn't do much and realized that, while I still had some speed, my endurance wasn't very good. Did I mention the time off?
The Ugly- Downtown charity crit race. Rode the Elite 3 race which was a prime example of the failure of our educational system in the fields of math and physics. The kids were clearly unaware of the fact that two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time, and that intersecting arcs will cross. Idiotic riding. Tried to lead out a friend on the first prime but he pulled out of his pedal. After the 4th crash I went into survival mode, I'm almost scab free and healed up right now and I'd like to stay that way. 26th out of 80 or so starters.
Back to base and build for Everest, with some lead out work tossed in there. Part of me is wanting to get back to racing a bunch (I does luv that stuff), but the coach is doing his best to keebosh this and focus on a later goal...
