Mountain Biking - last time I'll ever ask for frame advice

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So I've been wanting to upgrade to a beefier frame (and also one my size) for quite awhile now. I'm on an 05 medium Giant AC but decided after doing some freeriding out here and doing some downhill riding at a local ski lift that the old bike from back in hawaii just won't cut it. I found two frame deals that are in my price range (under 500 & new)
1. Sette Relic

while its an unheard frame and not a big company, its got a NICE shock, a good warranty and strong reviews on MTBR
2. Kona Coiler

The big downsides here are that it 1. has a crappier shock, and 2. it might be a little on the big side (but not much).

What would you do?

I would say that the Giant is beefier than those frames. Maybe just get a larger size. Or look at the Banshee Screams.
