Hi, I am Joseph from the Winston-Salem area in NC. I am riding a new Trek Navigator 2.0 and just traded in my seven year old Trek 820 Mt. Bike. I got my new bike after we bought my wife the lady's version of the 2.0 and liked it. I have had good luck with Trek, I bought my 6 year old boy a used Trek 20 inch 7 speed for $60 and it is in great shape and he loves it. We are riding in Winston-Salem at the Salem Creek Greenway and around Salem Lake about every other weekend. I ride my soon to be 4 year old girl on my bike in a Topeak Baby Seat and I am in the market for a 1/2 bike tag-along trailer for her. On father's day she rode her little Gary Fisher bike with training wheels from Old Salem to Salem Lake (3.5 miles) I am debating on going with a Trek version or one of the Adams Trail-a-bike or Instep pathfinder. I read about some of the pricier versions but can't bring myself to pay over $180 for something like that. We are riding often now and I hope to ride again the the New River Trail or the VA Creeper Trail (both rail to trails) in the next few weeks. My son is doing great but after about 10-12 miles he is done! Thanks for Reading!

Hello Joseph, there are quite a few members in your area, so you might want to visit the regional forums to say hello.

It sounds as if everyone in the family is enjoying their biking. Good luck with the trail riding, and don't forget to take photos to post (Recreational & Family Cycling would be good...).

Welcome to BF!
