I actually just picked up an outfit, wired (X2) at my LBS and it was resonably priced. The wireless kit was about $30 more expensive at the lbs -v- online.

I called all the LBS in my area -- realized in the midst of my calls that price was negotiable.
I was having mine installed so I found out that was the best area to achieve my discount.
Total cost including installation (non-wireless) was $110 about 3 months ago.
Will admit - best bike purchase I have made.

Dont get the wireless it sucks. The wired it much better.

It will work mostly but not in any adverse weather, and sometimes it doesnt want to work at all. If your going to spend the time wiring all that up i would go with the wired, you dont want to have to redo all that work. I installed one for somebody and it sucked, i went to the LBS and the guy said it sucked and i shouldnt have bought it, he then asked snotty where did you buy it and was embarrased when i said in his shop, so he discounted a wired one and it worked great.
