head.
Today's ride was one of those. It was a good ride, but strange. Plus a mistake made me pay for chosing that section.
Starting off the conditions were so loose I slid sideways numerous times, but somehow did not fall. Tire selection was perfect, it was just that loose on this trail today. Was like this until the turn, I had two choices take the trail section I never took before, or turn around and go back the way I went, I took the part I never went on before. Big mistake, that section only went one way, up. 6 miles of climbing, most parts at 15% incline, 2 parts at 20% incline. About 3 miles from the trail head on the way back, I'm in a hurry to beat the rain, guess what another climb, put in my climbing combo and hammered, from the bottom to the end of the hill I wheelied up the hill. That michelin XLS didn't hook up as well as the continental Explorer did that was on the back. I was in perfect form. The bike just insisted on having the front in the air. Did beat the rain. Was a strange day, but what isn't strange anymore?
