Looking for a folding 700x28 tire to use as a spare on the road. The 700x28 is a compromise because I can use it on several bikes I have if necessary. Anything smaller or larger will not fit on some of my bikes. Should be low cost with slick or non aggressive tread.
In my own brousing, I can find such tires up to around 700x25 but have not found anything larger. What have I missed?
There are a lot of folding tires that size; try Nashbar for a large selection of tires. Conti makes one in the 4 Seasons Grand Prix; and the Hutchinson Top Speed Road Tire are two that I found at NashBar.

Actually I did see the 4 Seasons tire but at $55 (on sale), it was more expensive than I was looking for. Are folding tires more expensive in general than a non folding tire?
I recently got a pair of Bontrager Race Lite's in 700x28. Reasonable cost, but heavier than the ancient wire-beaded 700x25 tires they replaced. Should work nicely as a spare for you.
Eat the cost, Rivendell Roly Poly
Very cool tire, you will love it.
