Im trying to find the perfect seat for my Downtube FS as well however Im not having much luck.

Thanx for those links, but I do get discouraged when I see the product photos are not in fact on folding bikes.

A user by the name of SesameCrunch is using a Rhode Gear Co Pilot on his Downtube with a Cruzbike kit...

Anymore input on the subject would be greatly apprecaited...

Hi T-1, I had the same concern. That's why when I saw the picture in my first post(from Dahon's site), I went "aha". Then again, after doing some googling, it seems that front seat is better overall for the kid. The Weeride looks good, the only thing is, on a folding bike the handle bar and stem is not the same as a full bike. I have written to them, let's see what they say.

I would recommend the bobike maxi. On a folder I would imagine you want something you can put on or take off quickly. I set mine up so that you just loosen a couple of thumbscrews, and it's off.

I highly doubt there enough room in the cockpit of a folding bike for a front load child seat. I've ridden one on a full size bike and it was pretty crowded up front. You had to have some pretty steady nerves. On a folder with small wheels, I can imagine handling to be even worse.

T-1:

For the Full Suspension, you'd have additional difficulty due to the swing arm/rear suspension. The rear rack would move around as you ride. I don't know if you can find a rear rack solution for a full suspension bike. Maybe a trailer?

This was always an appealing solution for transporting your child with the bicycle. It's like a side car for the bike. The carriage leans with the bike to make turns easy and natural. Too bad it costs almost $400. I have lusted after it, but not pulled the trigger on it. Now my kid is almost ready to ride by himself.

Oh well, maybe next time :) .

Hi T-1, I have a SpeedPro.
Just got a confirmation that the http://www.ibertinc.com/theseat/
won't work on a folder.
