I do, but not today.
Might test out the discs in the rain and mud!

"Heat" is relative. I like cycling when it's 90F+, but that's just what I'm used to. :)

Me too. I ride year around.

I love it too, but it sucks when you're lost downtown with one 1/2L bottle of water. For 4 Hours.

Yeah, it's about 100 here too. I just rode to the Dr.'s and back. About 8 miles round trip, I'm drippin'!

I do! Year Round (course this weather beats me up faster). My clothes that I wore in this morning are still damp from the sweat.

hehe, luv looking like a "Gaterade" commercial ...

Mid 90's, 15mph wind, 46% humidity at the moment, and expecting thunderstorms for the commute home (which at that time will be MOST welcomed!)

Yup, this week has been brutal by Rochester standards. Good times all around, I was soaked in sweat by the time I was out of my work parking lot on the ride home yesterday.

No heat so far this year. We should be pushing 100 by now but we've been having highs in the 70s and low 80s. I don't think we've broken 90 more than three or four times. We also broke the record for January-June rainfall today.

Feel free to send some of that rain this way. We're 13 inches below normal so far this year.

I hated it in FL when it was 98F and muggy. I used to wait until about 2 or 3 hours before sunset (depending on how long I planned to ride). That way the ride started out hot, but got cooler as I went instead of hotter.

Yes, Monday I rode almost 10mi with some tires on my shoulders (went to the LBS to get some new rubber).

Weather rarely stops me....the internets on the other hand....they might :p

I certainly do. Beats being cold anytime in my book.

The humidity has been very annoying around here lately however.

if i didn't ride in this heat, and i complained about the cold, i'd have about 1 week out of the year that would be perfect for riding. bring it on!

so yes, i do, but i would prefer a crisp clear 294.261 Kelvin day everytime :-)

although, fairly, i can't say i would fare too well with some of the winter stuff others ride through. just don't have that stuff around here.

I ride in "this heat," I ride in "this cold," I ride in "these moderate temperatures," I ride in "this rain," and I ride in "this wind." If it snowed here, I'd ride in "this snow," too. ;)

Yes I do. It's a scorching 65 degrees outside. Terrible I tell you.

It was in the 90's yesterday. Hell, it is in the 90's most days. Humid as hell. Still ride and enjoy it.

- riding in heat is better than jogging/walking in heat... keeping hydrated is key, IMHO...

- at least on a bike it feels like there's a big fan in front of you (depending on how fast you're going)... combined with sweat evaporation and a bit of shade, riding down here, even when in the mid-90Fs isn't too bad...

A big hot fan ;)
The head wind down here yesterday was killer.

Hot in the sun, much nicer in the forest.

I like riding in the heat. Sweat is good.
Yeah....heat and sweat (by themselves) are fine...but when you get that nasty heavy humidity that makes it hard to even breathe.....well, that's another story.

What's smug? I'm not sure what smug is. Is it some kind of bug or something?

I usually ride in this weather. I just try to stay well hydrated. The weather here in Chicago has been in the 80s and 90s for some time now. It's great.

I ride in this heat, too. Fill my hydrapak unit with ice cubes and cold water, fill 1 or 2 bottles with cold water, put raisins in my trunk bag, and I'm set!

i just came out of Boston, and my car thermometer read 102.....and I can't wait to get home to ride tonight........most likely a twilight ride on the coast to stay a bit cooler. I prefer the heat to the cold. But then again, I prefer Ginger to Marianne.

Sure, I ride in this heat (90s till tomorrow or Friday, then a break). Do I love it? Nope. But I push the fluids, and keep on keepin' on. It's the 10 minutes between getting off the bike and into the shower that I hate the most.

Yup, but I pull out the arm warmers under 75 degrees.

Out here we haven't even broken 30 yet. Hottest has been around 20c give or take.

However I do like biking in the 30+ range

We have had some hot days in Georgia. The humidity is not a the full summer level yet. Stay hydrated. I use wicking t-shirts for my commute. All and all my shower gets alot of use this time of year.
